The Camí dels Enamorats is a classic and very accessible walk that follows the course of the Sant Nicolau River at the head of the Vall de Boí. It connects the car parks of La Farga and La Molina through a flat, shady and very pleasant path, ideal for families and for a first contact with the National Park. The route allows you to enjoy riverside forests, waterfalls and quiet corners, with the possibility of extending the excursion to Pla d’Aigüestortes. The route begins at the La Farga car park, located on the access road to the National Park through the Vall de Boí. From here, the signposted path that goes into the forest following the course of the river is easily identified. From the first few metres, the path runs parallel to the Sant Nicolau River, with a clear and very comfortable route. The path is well-maintained and runs mostly under the shade of fir, pine and birch trees, which makes it especially pleasant during the summer months. Along the route, you will find small bridges, clearings and points near the water, where it is common to stop to observe the river, listen to the sound of the water or rest for a while. The slope is practically non-existent, and the path allows you to advance without effort and without technical difficulties. After a few minutes of calm walking, you will reach the parking lot of La Molina, the usual end point of the Camí dels Enamorats. From here, anyone who wishes can continue towards Pla d’Aigüestortes, following the authorized itineraries of the park, or return along the same path.
