The Durro – Sant Quirc de Durro route is a short and peaceful walk that allows you to discover a traditional path deeply rooted in the life of the village of Durro. The itinerary connects the town centre with the Hermitage of Sant Quirc de Durro, located in an open environment with good views over the Boí Valley. It is an ideal route for all audiences, perfect for combining nature, heritage and landscape without great physical demands. The route begins in the town centre of Durro, an elevated and very well-preserved town. From the upper part of the town, the signposted path towards Sant Quirc can be identified, which gently leaves towards the meadows and fields that surround the town centre. The path advances along a wide and clear path, traditionally used by the locals to access grazing areas. The slope is moderate but constant, which allows you to gain a little height without difficulty. As you move away from the town, the views gradually open up towards the bottom of the valley. Along the way, the landscape is dominated by mountain meadows, terraces and dry stone banks, elements that help to understand the agricultural and livestock use of this environment over time. The path is clear at all times and does not present confusing crossroads. After a short walk, you reach the Hermitage of Sant Quirc de Durro, located on a small elevated platform. The space invites you to take a break, rest and enjoy the views before returning to Durro along the same route.
