The Mirador a la Presa de Cardet is a short and accessible walk that allows you to reach a high point with good views over the Salencar, the Noguera de Tor river and the town of Barruera. It is an ideal route for all ages, very suitable as a leisurely walk or as a complementary activity to visiting the towns of the Boí Valley, with a simple route and great scenic appeal. The route begins at one of the signposted accesses around Barruera, from where you take a wide and well-defined path that advances towards the Cardet dam. The path loses altitude progressively and comfortably, without technical sections or difficulties. During the first few minutes, the path runs through open areas and meadows, with increasing views towards the bottom of the valley. As you advance along the Noguera de Tor river, the relief and fluvial landscape of the area are clearly marked. In the final stretch, the trail reaches the viewpoint located on the Cardet dam, a high and open point that allows you to observe the Salencar, the dam and the town of Barruera from a privileged perspective. This is an ideal space to stop, rest and enjoy the landscape before returning along the same path.
