The Mirador del Tussal Gran is an accessible and highly recommended panoramic viewpoint for all levels that offers impressive views over the Boí Valley, including the Aüt massif, the Caldes area and the town of Erill la Vall in the front view. It is ideal as a short afternoon excursion or complement to other routes in the Valley, with an easy route and many points of scenic interest. The route begins in the Plaça del Riu de Boí, a central space close to the children's park and the urban area of the town. Here you can leave the car or arrive on foot from the town. From the square, follow the Camí de l'Aigua towards Barruera. This traditional path is well signposted and runs along paths and dirt tracks with very little slope, ideal for all audiences. A few minutes on foot you will find a crossroads where paths leave for Durro and the Camí de les Falles. Keep heading towards Barruera to continue towards the viewpoint. After about 10–15 minutes of walking from Boí, you will reach the platform of the Mirador del Tussal Gran. This elevated point, built with a wooden viewpoint, offers you open views over the Vall de Boí, l’Aüt and the Caldes area, with the town of Erill la Vall in the foreground. Points of interest and recommendations: The viewpoint allows you to contemplate a good part of the valley floor, highlighting the adjacent peaks and Pyrenean villages. The views are especially memorable at dawn or dusk, when the light highlights the reliefs and colours of the mountain. Next to the viewpoint there are areas with physical equipment for light exercise or rest, making it an ideal spot to stop before or after a longer journey. Although the route does not cross densely wooded areas, you will enjoy a natural environment typical of the Lleida Pyrenees, with mountain meadows, aromas of wild plants and occasional observation of local fauna in silence.
